Well while I was doing my homework, I looked over to my right and I saw a strange phenomenon occur. I have a pencil sharpener (which doesn’t work..) and I saw that the reflection of my pencil sharpener had different colors embedded within it as you can see in the picture. I tried putting my graphing calculator, and my iTouch instead of the cell phone and all three resulted in the same colored magic happening.
- See the light?
- See the colors?
- See the light?
So with the knowledge of Physics, I will try to explain what is happening, excuse me if I have failed utterly in trying to do so. So from my knowledge of Physics, what is going on is that when the light from my lamp hits the pencil sharpener plastic, the light disperses as a result due to the difference in speed between the different types of color (refraction). Then the colored lights are emitted in all directions and hits the screen of either my phone, iTouch, or calculator and then is reflected to my eyes. I’m not quite sure why I can only see the light on the screen. I will update this post if I realize how that part works.

Nice post! And really cool pictures. :] Good job.
